FRAMEGARD

This is a patented battening system. The window film is wrapped around onto the window frame and then the framegard traps the film by screwing the system into the window frame. The design incorporates a gasket and an expansion zone to allow the film to flex and absorb the blast load prior to the tension being applied to the framegard and the film. The system has been independently tested up to blast loads of 100kg TNT at a distance of 22 meters and achieved very low hazzard rating and category 3a under the GSA test criteria. The Framegard system requires a 35mm minimum rebate to the window frame. The aluminium cap can be colour coded to any RAL number.
