GULLWING

This is a patented system which is attached to daylight applied window film. It incorporates a flexible middle zone designed to absorb the blast load and it is attached to the film and the window frame by very aggressive adhesive tapes. The required rebate is a mimimum of 15mm. The system has been tested to the latest ISO draft european standard of a 100kg TNT at a distance of 33 meters and it achieved three passes of category C. Gullwing has also been tested under the GSA test criteria and has achieved 3a passes. The advantage of Gullwing is that it is quick to install, does not require screwing into the window frames, requires a smaller rebate and is applied to daylight applied window film. The installers do not have to be trained to wrap the film onto the window frames and the Gullwing can be used to upgrade the performance of existing daylight window film applications. Gullwing comes in different sized profile designed to step over different sized gaskets and unusual shaped window frames.
